This is a Royal Grafton teacup and saucer from post 1940. it is Violets #645 with blue background and gold filligree. No crazing, no chips, no cracks, no repairs. Ceramic and porcelain. It has purple violets and a light blue background in the bottom of the cup and the middle of the saucer.The cup measures 3-3/4 inches wide x 2 inches tall. The saucer is 5-1/2 inches across.
This belongs to my 94-year-old mom. We all decided that it would be better for her to sell her collection of teacups and have the funds to use rather than put them on an estate sale some day. She seldom if ever used this cup. She loved having different flower teacups and saucers for the rare occasion that her friends would come over or play Bridge. My dad was a sailboat builder/mast builder and rigger so she never had a lot of \"nice\" things that were her own. She treasured her fancy cups and saucers.
Never exposed to smoke, perfume or other scents, just put away all these years and moved from Connecticut to Arizona over 35 years ago.
Note that I used a higher weight as we will be packing this very carefully to make sure it is safe in shipping. If the actual weight is under 2 pounds I will refund the difference in postage paid.
