Description: 24 Inches long 2(feets) and sitting 15 1/2 \" SOLID DOME GERMAN Doll.
Marked on the back of her neck S10 Germany (see photos) Solid dome bisque head, blue threaded glass eyes closed mouth, possibly original mohair wig, kid body with individually stiched arms and legs with a metal attached , original dress, maybe 1890\' French- Germany CONDITION: Of the head is good. The hair was glued to a missing original hat, so I put from another doll a cloth hat to hide a small part of the glue mohair wig rather thin, kid body shows light soil, aging. APPEAL: Sweet face of young lady. \"RARE\"I just purchased a doll collection most from a lady who just collect German or French doll \"Very Old\". I know little to nothing about this kind of Doll, this particular doll has a Beautiful face and all cloth body except the and that looks to me celluloid plastic hands. I just couldn\'t find the mark S10 Germany, it does has a couple of spot on the legs no shoes, so I put a socks on her feets, from another doll. Maybe a collector will be able to identify were it\'s from.

The vast majority of French Fashion dolls have bisque heads, glass eyes, and leather bodies. The earliest French Fashion dolls had porcelain heads (glazed china) and early examples often had multi-jointed wood bodies. Other materials used to make French Fashion doll bodies included gutta percha, blown leather, and cloth. Some dolls had painted eyes; generally glass eyes are more highly prized. A few French Fashion doll heads have been found made with other materials, including rubber (few survive today).
