Rare Vintage SHELLEY ART DECO "RED SUNSET FLOWERS" Queen Anne Shape Teacup & Saucer SetPattern 11691c 1929-40 !Description- I am pleased to offer a beautiful vintage teacup and saucer set made by Shelley, England
- Prized QUEEN ANNE shape with its octagonal shape and offsetting saucer in a very Art Deco influence style - very colletible the world over
- This is the RED SUNSET FLOWERS pattern, not that commonly found
- Pattern number 11691
- From my reference material, produced from 1929 to 1940
- Handpainted over transfer on pure white bone china - I have photographed the front and back patterns
- The shape is shown throughout quot;Collecting Shelley Pottery" by Robert Prescott-Walker such as pages 66 and 75
- Very bright unfaded transfer
- The saucer in perfect condition with no damage, cracks, hairlines or restoration; the cup sadly has a crack on the front which is somewhat camouFlaged by the pattern
- Teacup measures 3 7/8" across (including handle) and is 2 3/4" tall; saucer is 5 1/2" across
- Both pieces marked with typical SHELLEY England shield mark in green with pattern number 11691 handpainted in dark orange
- Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash
- This wonderful set would make a great addition to your Shelley collection even as a shelf piece
