Here\'s a genuine Singer buttonholer, with 5 extra templates, ready to go to work with your vintage Singer!

This vintage Singer accessory #106506 is contained in its case, along with all the parts. Included are 5 templates, the feed cover plate with its screw, the slotted clamping screw to attach the buttonholer to the sewing machine, and the manual. Also included is a box of extra templates (Singer part #160668).

The templates in the case are 5/16\", 1/2\", 13/16\", and 15/16\" (all straight), stored in their slots, and the 1-1/16\" (keyhole) is loaded in the attachment. Note that the 5/8\" keyhole template is missing and has been replaced with a 15/16\" straight template. The box of extra templates contains 3/8\" straight, 1/2\" straight, 5/8\" keyhole, and 15/16\" straight, packed into their slots in their cardboard box.

The attachment and its accessories are in very good used condition, ready to make many more buttonholes. The attachment itself is nice, with only a few light scratches in the shiny black paint, and no sign of rust. The case is above average, in my opinion, bright and unmarked, with the \"threads\" still intact where the attaching screw is stored.

All the templates are also in very nice condition, and ready to jump into your next project. The ten templates are the total metal ones that Singer produced. The manual includes instructions for what it labels \"extended buttonholes,\" so you won\'t be limited to only the template sizes, either.

My mother-in-law had two featherweight sewing machines--her mother\'s and her mother-in-laws--that she gave me. It looks like the manuals for the buttonholers got mixed up. Singer made two buttonholers (#160506 and 160743). This manual is for the other buttonholer (#160743). However, the buttonholer pictures in the manual look identical to the included buttonholer #160506.

The manual is in good condition, with wear, creases and a couple of tiny tears, mostly from having been stored in the plastic case. The interior pages are clean and bright. Finally, the storage case for the extra templates is sturdy and colorful, with some \"scuffs\" on the outer \"sleeve\" and some minor wear on the corners. The base of the box is also in very good condition.

In addition to various buttonholes, the manual includes instructions for using this attachment for embroidery and monogramming. Be sure to follow the directionsfor oiling the butttonholer on page 30 before you begin!

Also, the included feed-dog cover plate can be used by itself to \"disable\" the feed dogs so you can do free motion work!

This attachment fits all low shank, side-attaching Singers, including class 15s, most 66s( except 66-1 and 66-3), and class 99 and 201.
