I cannot even begin to relay this woman\'s exquisite taste. Her items included a genuine tiffany lamp and original paintings from the 18thcentury. Quite an experience to see such quality.These Andirons were proudly displayed in her formal living room and really are beautifulYou KNOW these are special when you see them
Vintage set or pair of St. Clair glass fireplace andirons.These have been used and the \"iron\" part that goes in the fire has soot still on them. They could use a cleaning. The glass of course does not have soot and is in beautiful condition. Please see all photos as photos tell most about the condition.I would say that these are in used but in very good condition. No issues. No cracks, breaks, or structuralproblems.Brass (or brass type material) has small amount of discoloration in parts. But nothing detracts. These can be displayed proudly in the finest home. These are heavy. Glass is completely beautiful. Maybe some surface scratches. But glass is in excellent condition.Total weight for both is 20 pounds.
St. Clair glass is still in business today. They also made/make art glass items such as lamps, paperweights, figural glass animals, vases, perfume bottles, marbles etc. St. Clair art glass is quite collectible. We believe the business was started up back in the 1930\'s in Elwood, Indiana. This pair of 22\" tall andirons are certainly vintage, not newer items. We purchased them directly from the owner out of their fireplace in Waltham, MA.
