• I am pleased to offer a very unusual vintage teacup and saucer set made by Shelley, England
• Famous \"DAINTY\" shape
• The shape features overapping ridged petals
• The pattern is an abstract depiction of bright multi-colored leaves, almost a crayon effect and I believe influenced by the simple but stylish Susie Cooper designs of the 1930s
• CAPRICE pattern
• Pattern number 14139
• I have dated this to 1962 from the Shelley production numbers
• Both pieces in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, damage or restoration and both pass the ping test
• Very bright unfaded transfer and no wear to the handpainted blue trim
• Teacup measures 4\" across (including handle) and is 2 3/8\" tall at sides; saucer is 5 /8\" across
• Both pieces marked with Shelley England shield mark in green along with 14139 handpainted in dark ochre on cup
• Please ignore all white spots on photod caused by camera flash
• This wonderful set would make a great addition to your Shelley collection
