Vintage Silverplate Footed Tray Made in England for Bailey Banks & offerdle: this ornate silver plated tray is in remarkable condition. Made by the prestigious firm Baily Banks & offerdle, it has great plating and luster. It is perfect for a romantic aperitif or a place to put perfume bottles on a delicate surface.
Bailey Banks & offerdle was founded in Philadelphia in 1832 under the name Bailey and Kitchen. It became known under the present name in 1878. This tray dates to the first half of the 20th century.

At the turn of the century, Bailey Banks & offerdle was commissioned by the U.S. Government to update the Great Seal of the United States; its design today remains the official version of the seal. The company also designed and made many of the military medals that are still used today, including the Medal of Honor, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
The tray has a diameter of 11” and is 1” tall. Condition is very good, no visible scratches or dings.
