This beautiful vintage set (Circa 1970’s) of six stemmed silverplatedwine cups with matching round tray makes a beautiful presentation when entertainingguests or serving family ... and is simply perfect for making Kiddush onShabbat! In excellent vintage condition, it was in the chinacabinet stored in its original box with each piece wrapped in individualplastic bags. Either Mom received it asa gift and then didn’t really use it or she only used it for specialoccasions. She doesn’t remember thehistory of the set. There is somedarkening of the silverplate but I didn’t want to polish any of thepieces. It should polish up nicely ...but again, it is an old vintage set. Manufactured by AMC India,the pieces are brass with silverplate overlay.They cups have good weight to them, as does the tray. Each of the cups measures 3.75” inheight .... the cup base measuresapproximately 1.60” ... and the diameter of the cup measures 1.90”. Each cup holds approximately 1 ounce ofliquid. Each of the six cups has theoriginal manufacturer’s tag marked “Silverplated – AMC – India.” The tray has a beautiful etched designpattern and features a ribbed railing all around. It measures 8.5” in diameter with a height of1.10”. As a vintage piece, the tray doeshave some areas of tarnish (see pictures) and I have chosen not to polishit. The bottom does not have any etchingand is plain metal ... but the brass seems to be wearing through. We do not know if this is simply from the ageand storage of the piece ... or if it is from any use. The tray is also marked with the originalmanufacturer’s tag “Silverplated – AMC – India.”
