Up for consideration is this early Singer hand crank sewing machine.Model 28Coffin CaseShuttle BobbinFrom my research I believe it to be 1904.Serial # B163941This machine appears to be in working condition. It has only been bench tested, and I have not actually sewn with it. The crank turns smoothly, along with the internal mechanisms.As you can see it is quite worn, and there is damage to the enamel on the base.Could use some lubrication and maintenance as well as a detailed cleaning. I will leave that up to the buyer as I don\'t really feel comfortable in attempting.One of the cover plates is missing over the shuttle.As you can see it shows extensive wear and patina.The metal especially on the wheel is rusty.The coffin cover sits tightly on the base. There is a brass latch. The case shows wear and scratches. There is a chip off the corner of the box.The case while sitting on machine measures approx:18\"W x 9 1/2\"L x 12\"H (without handles)I obtained this at an sale, and the machine came from England.If shipping is less than the quoted price I will refund you the difference.
