This sale is forthe vintage South Bend No. 290 fly rod. It is a two piece rod that

comes with two tips. On the rod it says 290 - 7 1/2. The South Bendlabel isfully intact.

All guides are there with no loose threading. It has the original bag that is in excellent

condition. I do not have the original rod tube. The rod finish/varnish seems in good shape.

I understand this rod was produced in about 1948. I am not a fly rod man, however I am

able to see that there is a slightcurve in the butt section of the rod and a slightcurve in one of the tips.

The other tip is pretty straight. Please ask any questions prior to offerding. I have other fishing items

on sale this week. I will provide an old aluminum tube to protect the rod in shipping.
