This sale is for a vintage Soviet Bayan \"Ростов Дон\" which means \"Rostov Don,\" named after the city Rostov on Don where it was made (Ростов на Дону in Russian)
This is generally regarded as a good Soviet Bayan - it has 100 bass buttons in 5 rows, and is relatively sought after. From what I have read it seems to have been made in the 1950s (possibly 1954.) As can be seen in other people\'s listings if you search for Rostov Don in musical instuments, in good condition these accordions normally cost around£200
The bayan is in very good condition, the bellows are in great condition with great pressure, all the bass buttons and treble button works fine, and it has a great rich and full sound. The only problem with this bayan is that two of the treble keys stick and need to be pushed back up, and some of the treble buttons push against the grill will played.
It is in great cosmetic condition, with just a few marks, like at the front by the treble keys. Also one of the screws to hold the grill on is loose, and it is missing some screws to hold the back on.
It comes with it\'s original case, which is in amazing condition, but with normal wear on the outside, and some slight damage on the inside, and it needs the key to lock (not included!.) The bayan comes with one strap attatched, and will come with another two straps as pictured.
I\'m sure this would make either a great professional bayan, or simply to play to pleasure just by sorting out the sticking treble keys. It really is an amazing sounding bayan
