Mohair with Metal Steiff Button in Ear and Paper Tag on ear says \" Steiff 5840/15 Made in Germany on front side\", on back side says \" Metal button covers some words...cotton, wool, foam rubber. PA 55 MASS 73\" . The paper tag is cerrated on bottom so I think there was maybe a price on it?. the Round Yellow & Red paper tag attached by a thread by the neck says \"Original (OUTLINE OF A BEAR HEAD) Steiff Knopfimohr on front side\". And on backside says \"Mottenecht Durch (picture of a hand) Eulan Bayer Itverausen (not sure of the spelling of the last word). the Dog is 6\" tall by 8\" long. I am having a hard time identifying what kind of dog this is. I do not know the time frame this dog was made. The Tail is up over the back. Has long hair going all over the place. Black eyes and nose & some black on ears. Ears are down to chin. I do not know if the blue ribbon around its neck is original or not. Its in pretty good condition.
