A vintage sterling silver 3-D opening miners\' lamp charm. It opens to a bird, of course and always reminds me of the Police song. If you don\'t know, they used to take a canary down into the mines to see if there was enough good air down there for the miners to work. If the bird died, it wasn\'t safe. This old charm measures approximately 27mm x 14mm and says MINERS LAMP on the bottom. I guarantee it is at least 800 silver. A beautiful patina on this classic British charm. A little loose but opens and closes as it should and is in good vintage condition with usual wear commensurate with its age.All of my items are used and or old and are sold as is.
