Carl Schon was a jeweler who lived and had a shop at 109 W. Saratoga St. in Baltimore, MD from 1915 until his death in 1923. After his death the firm and name were purchased and incorporated. They continued to operate under the Schon name. Especially popular were Carl Schon Seahorse jewelry items, made by silver or gold plating actual seahorse bodies. Often sent by the customer, the seahorses were made into earrings, bracelets and necklaces. These items have become very popular with collectors. Each one is an original and a great piece of Maryland History. Please view the photos for your best description and feel free to ask any questions.
