Beautiful Log Cabin Straight Furrow Variation Vintage Quilt Top in Excellent, Clean Condition
This is an absolutely stunning vintage hand stitched quilt top that I believe is from the 1920\'s or 1930\'s based on the fabrics used that look like feed sack materials. It is in one of my favorite versions of the log cabin design and uses great light fabrics and dark fabrics in a variation of the straight furrow design. It is made from beautiful and unique fabrics, mostly in shades of whites, greys, blacks, and blues with a touch of red. The result is a striking quilt top with excellent craftsmanship. Size: 77 inches x 75 inches (photographed on a queen size bed)Condition: It is in really excellent condition. I found one small area of faint discoloration in the outer strip of fabric (photographed above), but could not find any tears, holes, or stains. Odor free and coming from a smoke free home.
This gorgeous quilt top would be beautiful to finish to use or have on display. It is especially difficult and rare to find more sophisticated or masculine colors in vintage quilts and this one is a beauty.
