Mabie Todd Swan Self-Filling fountain pen, gray marbled lizard plastic, c1930. I have seen this pen in striped marbled lizard, which is not common, but I do not recall ever seeing it in marbled lizard with no stripes. It is a full length pen, 5 1/4 inches long, closed, 6 5/8 inches posted, and just under 1/2 inch diameter at the cap lip. The plastic is near mint--there are no cracks, bite marks, or engravings. The color is even and the imprint is complete. The metal trim (not sure white gold filled or nickel) is very good to excellent. There is a white swan on the top of the cap. Humped arrow clip. The Mabie Todd number 4 nib is cracked (see picture). The lever filler pen fills and holds ink. It writes, though it is not the smoothest writer. Ink flow adjustment would probably help. This is a really beautiful old pen.
