This is a vintage Takito Company 1921-1945 Satsuma Moriage Ginger Jar. It is in the popular dark brown style. The moriage relief shows some wear on the lid.There is a repaired area on the lid, where it was previously cracked. It is a good repair. This ginger jar is comprised of its body, inner lid and cover. This is a good size at approx. 4.75\" tall, weighing 8.5oz. Other than the repair on the lid cover, there is not any other damage to this many of the items I make available are \"dated\", they are rarely in perfect condition. My claim is to have inspected the item to the best of my ability and note anything I find. Occasionally, a better trained eye can spot things I have missed.
