This Telephone Chair (aka Gossip Bench) is painted wood with a vinyl seat and Formica writing surface. There are metal posts between the curved wood back pieces.

There is a wood plug missing from the back, and there is some paint wear, most visible on the pieces of the back. Structurally it is very sturdy.
