Time Machine By Mattel made in 1968 in the USAClassic 60\'s toy designed to allow kids to construct prehistoric animals, skeletons and monsters from unique shape memory rubberized plastic \"Time Capsules\". The machine functions by heating the \"Time Capsules\" until they change from capsule form into the desired creature shape. Comes with three nice unfurled time capsules, a snake and a centipede and original blue tongs. The Lost World Play Set, instructions and box are not included.Operation - Capsules were first placed in a Pre-heat area of the machine, then tossed into the machines domed Heat Chamber where they finish expanding to full size. After they expand they are removed from the chamber with blue plastic tongs. After cooling they could be played with. The creatures are returned back into \"Time Capsule\" form by placing them back in the Heat Chamber, heating them up, and placing them in the machines cranked \"Compression Chamber\". Condition - The machine is \"Very Good\" operating condition. Has some minor corrosion or \"Time Capsule\" residue in the Pre-Heat area of the machine. the Time Machine label has damage to upper left corner. The blue tongs are melted on one side indicating just how hot the machine gets (see photos).
