When Mom purchased this toy about 35 years ago from an Antique Dealer friend of hers, she was told it dated from the 1930\'s. Displayed as an Antique, it was not played with. We don\'t recall even once seeing Mom actually wind it up. Carousel works quite well. When you press the lever into the play position, the horses move, the airplanes spin around extremely quickly, as if they were flying, and the music plays. For the time it was made, this Wolverine Carousel is quite ingenious. Smoke-free home. When possible, we always combine shipping on multiple items.
