ALSO – I weigh the item and the shipping and packing supplies. I add the weight of the item to the weight of the shipping and packing supplies (box, bubble wrap, tissue, etc…) and this cost is reflected in the shipping charge. It takes time, and I pack your item very well to ensure a safe journey! Packing supplies add weight to the total package. Yes, we would all like to save money on shipping, and I try to get it as least expensive as possible! But the main objective here is to get your item to you as safely as possible! First Class Postage only allows up to 13oz! Some empty boxes weigh more than that! The next level up in economy shipping is Parcel Post.
