This is a vintage Trick Pony cast iron mechanical bank. Place a coin in the horse\'s mouth and raise the small lever on the right side of the base. His head bobs down and drops the coin in his feeder. There is a flap in the bottom of the trough which also drops down, allowing the coin to fall underneath.
This bank measures about 7\" wide and stands about 7-1/4\" tall. It weighs 4 lbs. 3 ozs. This is a nicely made reproduction, although I can\'t find a mark showing where it was made.
The paint is in pretty good condition. It is rubbed off in some places but overall, the colors are strong. The mechanics of the bank work well. I tried it with a penny, nickel, dime and quarter and they dropped easily into the trough each time. There is no rubber stopper in the bottom.
This bank would make a great addition to a cast iron or mechanical bank collection! Please e-mail me with any questions regarding condition.
