Vintage Designer TRIFARI Pet Series Brooch Pins & Earrings Set
Here is a charming and highly collectible vintage brooch pin and earrings set designed by Trifari. It is from the designer\'s highly sought after 1967 \"Precious Pet Series\" figural line of jewelry that featured different animals. I have provided a picture of the advertisement by Trifari for this jewelry.This particular set contains the enchanting owl and butterfly brooch pins with the rare, matching earrings. The jewelry isfashioned with dark blue enamel over a white base with gold tone accents. The owl features green glass cabochons for the eyes and red enamel accent on its claws (though the red color has mostly faded over time) while the butterfly displays green rhinestones on its antennae and red enamel on its head. The setting is in gold tone metal and the earrings are in a clip on style.
The owl brooch measures 1 6/8\"L x 1 1/2\"W while the butterfly measures 2\"L x 1 6/8\"W.The earrings measure 7/8\" across. All pieces are marked on the back with the designer\'s hallmark and copyright symbol.This whimsical jewelry is in good vintage condition with some wear. The pieces have spots of enamel loss and some metal wear noted on back of earrings. Also, the butterfly\'s white enamel is not as white as the other pieces.
