Here is a fabulous U. S. Watch Co. closed face pocket watch being sold for a local estate. It has a hunter style yellow gold filled case and I believe a 15 jewel mechanical movement. Here is the front cover. I did not see any dents but you can see the considerable brassing.Here is the back cover. There is a dent in the upper right - about the 2 o\'clock position. There is also a large area of brassing.Here is the U.S. Watch Co. pocket watch. The hunter style yellow gold filled case measures about 53 mm in diameter. The case is hallmarked in back as follows: \"138607.\" I don\'t know who made the case but there hallmark is a Maltese Cross. The crystal is glass (I think) and it looks just fine. I did not see any scratches. The dial is a bright white. I did not see any hairlines. There is also some dirt specs scattered over the dial. To me it looks like dust. Nice Roman Numerals and 2 classic looking hands to denote the time. There is a separate inset dial with a sweep second hand at the bottomHallmarked on the dial is \"U. S. Watch Co., Waltham.\"Here is the movement. The movement is hallmarked \"U. S. Watch Co., Waltham, Mass., 26690.\"I tried winding but it has been wound tight and currently does not run. It is a lever set model and I could adjust the hands.The estate has priced it to sell. Overall, I would say that it\'s in good condition for it\'s age.
