Here wehave a beautiful vintage (USSR, 1960s) enamel and silver-plated filigree pendant icon with Virgin Mary Mother of God from ancient Russian town Rostov-the-Great.

The pendant is 1 3/4\" long, including bail, and a tiny bit wider than 1\". The chain is new, 22\" long and has a lobster clasp.

The art of hot enamel painting (Finift) in Russia is perfecting already thethird century, and now you can enjoy it too. The painting is melted into thelayers of porcelain and becomes resistant to scratching or fading.
