A stunning vase made by Daum of France, fully signed around the base DAUM NANCY FRANCE with the Cross of Lorraine (see photographs).

The vase has thousands of tiny bubbles incorporated , a technique that I believe is called \'clutha\'.

This piece of art glass stands at 4 1/4\" tall (11 cms) and has a diameter at the top of 5 1/8\" (13 cms) and the base has a diameter of 2 1/2\" (6.5 cms).It weighs a substantial 1 kilogram.

The colouring is a superb golden amber (hard to capture in my photographs,and is brighter than shown!).

Condition: excellent,with no chips,cracks scratches or water staining.The underside does have signs of age related wear,including a tiny nibbles on the edge,not seen on display. (please see close-up photograph).

This is an uncommon piece of mid-century French art glassfrom Daum,I am unsure of the specific date of making.The unusual tooling to the top edge makes for a striking effect, which,along with the colour helps to create a mostimpressive piece.
