- Description: This 21.5\" long strand contains vintage Venetian fancy fiorato beads. Sometimes referred to as wedding cake beads they are an unusual shade of pale blue opaque glass. The beads originally were encircled by a band of gold leaf and decorated with pink swirled roses, translucent bright green squiggles and opaque white & clear glass filigrana cane accents. These beads are temporarily strung on thread with a tarnished spring ring clasp and should not be worn unless restrung. The overall length of the strand is 21.5\" and contains 57 beads that graduate from 8mm x 7mm to a center bead measuring 15mm.These beads are old and have a good amount of gold leaf & decoration loss. If you can appreciate the beauty in beads that show wear and are a really unique color then these are for you. Add bead caps & spacers and recreate this necklace in the traditional style or repurpose these beads into numerous other projects.
