My father bought this in thePhilippines during WWII.
Pretty off-white color. The blouse is handmade - sewing machine stitching on the side inseams. The rest is hand stitched in baby/tiny stitches. The edges have what you call a rolled hem edge -also all hand stitched. Has both smocking and embroidery work and nicely done. The colors of the embroidery thread are still very bright. It has a very tiny waist. The waist is only 21\" but does stretch a tad, but not much- an inch or so. It has a slit/vent on the side at the bottom and two snaps. I did not see any holes. However, I spotted two small rusty looking spots about the size of 3 pin heads. They are not dark in color and I have NOT tried to clean. After having this in the closet for many years, I have decided to sell and let someone enjoy or display as a wall hanging. No basement or Tobacco odors.
