DESCRIPTION

Thisis a lovely vintage wedding gown that has a bit of a Southern Belle look to it. It was custom made, so it is one of a kind! The outer layer of the dress is made out of sheer chiffon. The dress has short puffy sleeves with elastic at the ends, and there is lace trim and a large ruffle of chiffon around the neckline. There is also lace trim on the chest and on the skirt. The dress has a fitted waist and the skirt has a flared cut with a huge sweep. The lining hangs down below the chiffon at the bottom, creating a tiered look. The dress closes with a long row of buttons down the back, and there is a train in the back as well. The train can be bustled up by attaching loops on the skirt to hooks along the waist in the back.

NOTE: I displayed this dress over a crinoline to show off the fullness of the skirt. However, the listing is just for the dress. The crinoline is not included. Also note that the dress was a little snug on my mannequin, so I was not able to completely button the dress in the back. However, the dress buttons up just fine!

SIZING

The dress does not have a size tag, but I believe it would best fit a size XS. Theactual measurements are as follows:

Bust: 15.75 inches across, underarm tounderarm (31.5 inches around)
Waist: 12 across (24 inches around)
Hips: Full and roomy
Length: 55 inches down the front; 80 inches down the back

Note: These are the actualmeasurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort ofmovement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flatmeasurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around.

CONDITION

This dress is in excellent used condition. I did notice a faint scuff mark along the hem of the dress (see last picture), but this is very minor and shouldn\'t be noticeable when the dress is worn!

The large majority of the items in my store arevintage, and therefore pre-owned. I do my best to only put items up forsale that are in very good to excellent vintage condition, and I will list anymajor flaws that I notice. However, most vintage clothing has been aroundfor several decades or more, and it may have some minor snags in the fabric,the occasional loose thread or other minimal signs of wear. Vintage itemsmay also have raw seams that have not been serged. By purchasing, you areaccepting that these items are used and may not be 100% perfect. However, ifyou feel I have overlooked a major flaw, please let me know!

I personally have a SMOKE FREE AND PET FREE HOME.I won\'t sell a piece of clothing if I notice a smoke smell on it from aprevious owner. I have no way of knowing if the original owner of theclothing had pets, but I will use a lint roller to remove any fuzz or strayhair I notice. Because most of what I sell is vintage, an item may havebeen in storage for quite a few years, so I always recommend you wash or dryclean your item before wearing it.
