The lid hasa carousel horseon it. The bottom box and around the lid is gold toned with raised rose detail surrounding it. It hasthree legs. The jewelry area inside is lined with red velvet and the music box area is enclosed with an acrylic top with a gold framing design on it. Sticker: Westland \"Somewhere in time\", the song it plays, Made in JapanThe music box works really well, a very nice quality sound comes from the hand wind musical movement. And the music stops when you shut the lid.There is some gold plating coming off on the legs and around the inside edge.
