I received this set from my grandfathers estate. I don\'t know the history of it beyond that. Overall the set appears to me to be in very good condition. I don\'t think it got much use. All pieces of the set are present with the exception of the written instructions.The plating on the razor mechanism is nice and I don\'t see any areas of wear. The knurling on the handle is clean and sharp. All the components of the razor mechanism work smoothly. The razor flips back and forth nicely, the bar in front that I think controls the closeness of the blade moves in and out smoothly when turning the knob in the back. It also presses in smoothly to release the blade. The shaft that moves up and down in the handle moves smoothly. I didn\'t try running the strop through but believe it would do so just as it should. The strop seems to be in very good condition for its age and looks to be original to the set. There are no cracks, rips, tears, breaks or dryness. Looks like it was used a bit on one side and not at all on the other. The metal holder for the strop is very nice condition on the outside, but has lost some of its plating on the inside as pictured. There isn\'t any corrosion - the plating has just come off in that area and you can see the bare brass now.The blades are all in what I think is very good condition. All good edges from one end to the other, no nicks or breaks. They don\'t look like they were used that much or sharpened much. They are all identical to the one pictured. They say \"Wilkinson Sword Co\" on one side and \"Tom Beasley Sword Smith\" on the other side with a picture of a guy. On the back edges they are stamped \"Wilkinson Made in England\"The Art Deco etched case is nickel plated and is in nice condition. The interior is satin and velvet and has a bit of wear but really looks quite nice for its age. It opens and closes smoothly and tightly.
