There are many images so be sure to scroll down to view them of this vintage 19th Century Pelorus sighting vanes marine navigation instrument. The dial is marked very legibly Wilson & Gillie Gillies Patent 2605 Rd No. 464458 North Shields. One arrow has Macn and other arrow has E True W. Lots of increments on the dial. It is all brass except for the cast base. From bottom to tip top it is 15 7/8\" tall but from the base to the dial it is 8\" and the vanes are 7\" approx. from the dial. The dial is 7\" in diameter. The level on the one side of a vane is missing the vial and the bubble. It has not been cleaned. It is very heavy with unpacked weight being ten pounds and eleven ounces. It is being sold AS IS since I do not know if it is complete or in working order.Buyer to pay s/h calculated in USA insured. NO INTERNATIONAL offerDING.
