Vintage WWI U.S. Springfield Armory (SA) 1905 Bayonet w/Scabbard - 1919:

Here is a very nice Springfield Armory 1905 Bayonet with scabbard. It is marked on one side of the blade, \"SA 1919\" (with the image of a fiery bomb) and the other side is marked \"US\" and bears the serial number: 1052197. There is a little loss of finish on a few of the edges (the blade appears to be nickel-plated?) and also, a few spots and blemishes on the steel parts. Also, I believe the hardwood handle may have three wedge-shaped pieces that should actually be level with the steel. (See photos, above.) The handle has a nice patina, the blade is good overall but does have one tiny nick about two inches from the tip, on the lower edge. The overall length is 20-1/2\"; the blade length is 15-7/8\" and the blade width is a hair over 1\". The sheath is in good condition, with slight surface wear consistent with its age.
