Description

This authentic period c.1959 Blenko decanter was designed by Wayne Husted. It is Model #5933. The base portion is a gorgeous aqua blue (NOT bright green - the first photo is the most accurate) and the glass tall stopper is clear glass. Both longer sides have some texture to the glass as made, while the shorter sides and up to the neck is smoother.

SIZE: Approximately 16 1/4\" tall, 9 1/2 wide, and about 7\" deep.

MARKS: Marked on underside of bottom as shown in photo. Acid etched \"BLENKO\".

CONDITION: Vintage used item. The portion of the stopper that inserts into the top of the decanter has a few losses (see photos). There is one internal flaw in the glass stopper long finial as shown in photo. The decanter has an internal flaw in the glass as it curves down toward the base (see photo). The exterior is smooth in that spot. As with any vintage piece of blown glass, expect minor irregularities, some of which might be scratches and flaws. The interior has not been cleaned. I am selling this \"as found, as is\". When I shine a very bright flashlight on the decanter portion, I can see some dirt/residue on the bulbous side walls and in the base. It isn\'t very visible to the naked eye, unless you are very close up and searching hard to see it. Not mint, but REALLY nice and very beautiful coloration! This is being sold as a decorative object for display. If you intend to use it as a decanter, I recommended a cleaning of the interior before use.
