Vintage c. 1905 Washburn guitar in very good restored condition. Adirondack spruce top with herringbone inlays for the rosette and purflings. Very nice straight grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck. Ebony peghead overlay, fingerboard, and bridge. Pearl position markers. Ebony and pearl bridge pins.
The length is 37", width is 12 1/4", the scale is 24 1/4", and the neck is 1 13/16" at the nut.
Very good restored condition. The original top to this guitar was damaged beyond repair and has been replaced with a new top of Adirondack spruce. This spruce was harvested in the early 90's, so is approximately 20 years old and well seasoned. It was rebuilt with the original Z bracing pattern and has the original bridge. The back and sides are in very good condition with no cracks or apparent repairs. It has been refinished with ahand applied shellac polish. There are a few small scratches and dings, but overall in very good shape for 100+ years. The neck has been reset to the correct angle and the action is very goodwith a string height of 1/8" at the 12th fret. There is plenty of saddle height to lower it further in the future if needed. Both the nut and saddle are bone and are new. It has had a partial re-fret with the first three frets replaced and the others leveled. Plays very well with an excellent tone- very nice!
