Hi!
I am a collector of compacts but haven\'t sold any compacts too often for a couple of years now on , so my previous knowledge of them isn\'t as clear as it was, as now I have other interests...so I will describe them as best I can, but please take a close look at the pictures I have provided, please read the description very carefully and ask relevant questions before sale ends.
Here is a charming compact...has no makers mark, so not sure of date. I love the illustration on the lid...I have described this compact as a \'Charlie Chaplin\' Skater Compact, but please note, that\'s just MY take on it!!! Not official! If you look at the male silhouette dancing with the lady, in my mind, it really does resemble his shape and style! But he wasn\'t exactly known for his skating abilities, so who knows what the designer had in mind!
The lid is medium blue enamel...look at the pics to see that it has aged and has some fine surface scratching and chipping. Inside the mirror is in good condition as is the powder compartment. The back is gold tone with some dulling to the metal due to age and handling.
The compact measures approx just under 3 inches square.
