Up for sale is a cute SMALL Ikebana vasemade in Japan probably during the 50\'s or 60\'s. The vase stands approximately 4\" tall (the pedestal is 1 1/2\"), the rectangular bowl is 6\" x 3 1/2\" including the wings that protrude from the edges. The actual bowl which holds the water and flowers is 4 3/4\" x 3 1/4\". It is in great pre owned condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. I think it was never used in a floral arrangement as there are no use marks on the bottom of the bowl where the kenzan or floral frog would have sat. Really a cute retro/vintage vase, unusually small; something for that mid century collector looking for something different or for that avid practitioner of Ikebana.
