ABOUT NAPKIN RINGS:Thenapkin ring, occasionally called aserviette ring, was originally used to identify thenapkinsof a household between weekly wash days. The standard napkin ring is a simple ring made from skewers. The figural napkin ring is an American specialty in which the simple napkin ring is part of a small figure or sculpture that may take any shape and show any motif. Napkin rings appear as single items with the name or initials of the owner, notably given as christening presents, or pairs often given as gifts at weddings and silver weddings. In the English speaking countries, numbered sets of 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 napkin rings are found. Napkin rings are an invention of the European bourgeoisie, first appearing in France about 1800 and soon spreading to all countries in the western world. Most 19th century napkin rings were made of silver or silver plate, but others were made in bone, wood, pearl embroidery, porcelain, glass, and other materials. In the 20th century bakelite and other new materials were used. {wikipedia}ABOUT ME:
My career began in the Garment District of New York City. I remember going on lunch breaks walking by a plethora of Italian men who were hanging out chatting. They were the sample makers. I went to sample sales at every opportunity while I was scrounging to make ends meet and still look fabulous.

Fast forward many years and I have been fortunate to travel the world while working in fashion and retail. I have a tendency to like European designers, especially Escada and Feraud as their fit is consistent and seems to work with the American body type (especially for those of us who are not perfect!)

When in Frankfurt, I would take two trains and a taxi to hit my favorite outlet store. I believe in the European way of ‘wardrobing’: having a few, high quality items versus a lot of junk.

But our closets are bursting and it\'s time to go and I have begun exploring other closets to add to this one ... always hunting with that eye for quality and workmanship!

I promise to always describe and measure accurately, and will note any flaws so offer with confidence.

... I WILL BE HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING ...

IF FLAT RATE IS MORE ECONOMICAL : THAT IS HOW I WILL SHIP!
