You are offerding on the exact Artificial Load Meter you see in the photos. We are not experts or collectors so please see all photos and consider them a part of the description. This is a vintage,Tesco System Artificial Load Type G7, No 217, 25 Amp, 110 220Volt, 60cycles. Tag also has The Eastern Specialty Co. Phil Pa. There is a second metal tag that is marked with Metropolitan Edison Co.
Reading,PA no W 72, Type IB 7, Volts220, Amps 20. The meter is marked with REVOLUTIONSGeneral Electric.Appears to have theoriginal leads andhard case. I believe the top of the meter is made of bakelite, and the housing of the Artificial Load is some kind of wood. There are no cracks in the wood, it does show normal wear and tear for a device that was used in a working industrial Environment. Look slike there might have been a plate of some kind screwed to the one side that is no longer there. The bakelite top shows some light scuffs and tiny little white paint spots that may clean off? There are 4 posts with screw downs on the Revolutions meter part, one of these 3 has a chunk of bakelite broken off as you can see in the photos.All knobs appear to move as intended.Device is in nice condition. The leads are used but decent in my opinion, could use a cleaning. The case is athin hard case, the strap is broken and the lid wants to fight you a little whenattached. Case shows some ware. Has good metal corners and edges as you can see in the photos.Could use a light cleaning though, we do not clean our items so that we do not damage or devalue them. We did try to test to the best of our ability...which isn\'t much...there is a reset knob, it does take the needle back to zero. I used a volt meter to check continuity and I appear to get a beep where I should...but not knowing much about this I may not be checking the right things...so might work great, but no guarantee. This being said, we were unable to test any further This is a piece that you don\'t come by much and made by a company that is still in business today ( I believe) and products that are built to last. Thats really all we know about this piece, since they don\'t come up often we couldn\'t find much about it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask before offerding. Great piece for display or use with restoration! Would look great in a steampunk or industrial display!
