Vintage 15\" HAROLD GALE created SANTA CLAUS ~
he started making these dolls in the 1940s...
Offered for consideration is this charming standingSanta figure.
This classic Christmas decoration/doll
has all the wonderful details of a Harold Gale creation ~
red velvet suit & cap with white trim & white mittens,
white plastic boots & belt,
a full fluffy beard & mustache.
Best of all his face is expertly hand-painted mache`(?) ~
rosy cheeks, sparkling eyes & a Ho-Ho-Ho on his lips.
The condition is true vintage ~
the white parts have yellowed a bit & it appears he was glued back into
his boots at some point.
The foam-like body isn\'t what it used to be but not too bad.
