This suit is in excellent condition! An incredible vintage find!
It was hand-tailored by Arhur M Rosenburg Co. Tailors, New Haven, Conn.Expertly made of a high quality black wool fabric.
In our research we found the folowing - \"Arthur M. Rosenberg started his custom tailor shop in 1898. Within a few years he gauged campus style trends and shrewdly adapted the popular Brooks Brothers’ No. 1 Sack Suit to the original boxy Rosenberg pattern. He relentlessly gathered a talented sales and tailoring staff and bought adjacent buildings on Chapel Street to support workrooms for more than 50 journeymen tailors.By The Roaring Twenties “Rosey” was the foremost custom clothier in New Haven and the largest producer of custom tailored clothing in the United States.\"
The jacket is single breasted with a 1 button closure on the front.Satin lapels.Sleeves have 2 buttons at the cuff.3 pockets on the front of the jacket, one on the left chest and one on each side.1 inside hidden pocketFully lined.
The pants have a 5 button fly closure with a metal clasp & button closure at the waist.Satin stripes6 belt loops on the waistband.Inside buttons for suspenders/braces2 deep side pockets.1 small chain pocket at the waist2 pockets on the back of the pants
The vest/waistcoat is a shiny black with silver gray stripes3 pocketsRounded deep collarblack satin back with an adjustable belt4 mother of pearl buttonsFully lined
The original Arthur M Rosenburg labels are still in the suit.This was a custom tailored suit so there is no size label.We have taken the following measurements with the garments laying flat.

CONDITIONIt is rare to find a vintage suit in this condition!

It has been well stored - a great opporunity to own a classic piece of vintage clothing in original condition!


This suit is in excellent vintage condition and is very wearable. There is no fading to the fabric. We do not see any holes, tears or wear on the suit. There are no bad odors.The lining is in very good condition - as you can see in our last picture, the only problem we see is some wear on the inner sleeve lining.Please look at our pictures and ask any questions you may have.
