Vtg 1920s 30s Sheer Muslin Cream Art Deco Embroidered Dress w/ Lace Trim Small:

Cute garden party dress from the 20s or 30s with stunning art deco embroideriy along the hem neck and waist, front and back. Also generously trimmed in rows of delicate floral lace.

Fabric is sheer, probably a natural muslin in an ecru or very light tan.

The floral embroidery is done in shades of pink with yellow centers in a black art deco geometrics and cornflower blue accents. Absolutely stunning! The black stitching continues down the skirt in three rows on each side front and back, connecting the waist embroidery with the oval \"medallion\" embroidery along the hem. Skirt is gathered under the embroidered waistband. Very sweet and girlish, probably made for a teen.

Hem is scalloped and trimmed three rows of lace. Short sleeves trimmed in two rows of lace, neck in one. Very well done.

Homemade from the 1920s or 30s.

Has a tear in back, a few stains and small hole in front along the skirt, a little wear near the left skirt side seam and grayness under the arms. Can possibly be repaired, definitely repurposed. The lace and embroidery is too pretty not to reuse. Also in need of a cleaning.

Probably best fits today\'s size 6.
