You\'re offerding on a cool, vintage electric space heater - the Markel Electric Products \"Heetaire - Neo Glo\" model 130A. It indicates \"patent applied for\", so I think it probably dates to the 1920s, which is consistent with its overall appearance.
It\'s a small, very cute stand-up model - 19 1/2\" tall, 12\" max width and 9 1/2\" front to back depth - with fantastic Art Deco Period style. A solid 16 lbs piece of solid-state technology. It appears to be a cast white metal with an applied, crackle bronze finish - beautiful cast Deco-period ornate floral design on the sides, ornamental feet and top. Appears to function perfectly - there are two coil heating elements, each which has its own switch, and a third circuit breaker switch to kill power to both - I haven\'t found enough info on this piece to know if the circuit will break automatically if it overheats or malfunctions. Coth cord has a couple of thread pulls but cord and plug both appear in good condition for age and type.
Note some issues of condition - one of the front feet is partially broken on the bottom (see photo) - it still sits fairly level, though. It could be swapped out with one of the back feet for better appearance - but, I tried to do this myself and the screw is stuck on the damaged foot, so may take some WD-40 and elbow grease. There is also some finish wear and loss in front of the heating area, and some pitting in this area and within the steel backing behind the coils.
Still a rare and great functional, original Deco-period style piece - please review photos carefully to make your own determination of condition and appeal, and don\'t hesitate to ask any questions prior to offerding - thanks for looking!
