Vtg 1950\'s Pelz Kunze Berlin W Germany Shearling? Beaver? Fur Full Length Swing Coat
This full length fur coat is in very nice, pre-owned condition. I believe it dates back to the 1950\'s. Hide is soft, not sure what the fur is but I can feel the pelts through the lining, the pieces/seams are only 4-5 inches wide/apart and 12-18\" long (irregular lengths). Could it be Shearling or Sheared Beaver? Fur seems a bit coarse like wool, tinge of brown on tips of hair. Label reads Pelz Kunze, Berlin W (Germany). Length is 46\" from seam at back of neck to hem, 22\" across back from underarm seam to underarm seam, blousy sleeve measures 17\" from underarm to end/cuff. Hem is 84\" around with about a 6\" overlay when buttoned. Two plastic buttons are hidden in sophisticated no-show button hole/s. Lining is very good-excellent, no tears or wear, a few very minor/small stains. Shawl collar, two deep side pockets (with excellent lining). Assuming that it was a woman\'s coat, but could classified as unisex. Its mid-calf length on me, I am 5\'7\". I have long arms and the length of sleeves are good, not short. I am a size 14-16 and it fits with lots of room, no tag with size but would estimate M-L if a woman, just right for me across the shoulders. So a mens size S-M? Coat was stored in a bag when found, should probably be professionally cleaned, no odor. I purchased at an estate sale, the former owner grew up/lived in Germany, she moved here in the 1970\'s. It has been cared for and doesn\'t appear to have been worn very often. $17.50 to send via USPS Parcel Post with tracking and insurance in the U.S.A.
