Vtg 1950\'s - 60\'s Rhinestone Art Glass Japanned 2\" Wide Rigid Red Green This sale is for a very well made and substantial, glass and rhinestone japanned bracelet, that is from the 1950\'s - 60\'s.This piece is not signed, the design is closest to Schiaparelli pieces, but I can\'t confirm that it is an unsigned Schiaparelli. The bracelet is full of large glass cabochons and has a sturdy setting so the piece has a very weighty feel when worn at 128 grams. The bracelet measures 7 1/4\" long, it is 2\" wide at its widest point, and is 1/4\" thick. The bracelet closes securely with a hidden push clasp and still has its original safety chain. The setting is japanned which sets off the unique color combination of the glass. The glass cabochons are all unfoiled and open at the back. Some of the smaller stones are faceted at the top and the other stones are smooth and slightly domed in shape. The largest glass cabs are just shy of 3/4\" in length and the smallest stones are 8mm in diameter. The red stones are definitely a vibrant orange red color that has a flat finish and the green stones are slightly translucent with a frosty finish. There is one small green rhinestone that has a fair sized chip at the side of the stone but due to the location of the stone and the size/location of the chip it is noticeable only upon close inspection. There are two very small chips on two larger glass cabochons but they are along the very edge of the stone and due to their small size they are noticeable only upon very close inspection. The bracelet is very fresh looking with smooth glass that has a nice gleam to the surface and fresh edges and faceting. The setting has a little bit of wear to the japanned finish but it is mainly at the back of the bracelet and the setting still looks fresh with a contrasting color to the glass. The bracelet is constructed of six large links that are completely rigid and then linked together so the bracelet has a very full and striking shape when worn. Overall this is a very well made and substantial, glass and rhinestone japanned bracelet, that is from the 1950\'s - 60\'s that is in Excellent condition.
