This unused, factory Folded and complete Vogue Paris Original pattern by Jaques Heim would be a lovely addition to your wardrobe! Timeless and flattering style details make this suit dress beautifully wearable today. This smart dress features a plastron that give it the look of a double breasted suit, but has the comfort of a dress. \"What is a plastron?\" you ask, well I\'ll tell you: A plastron is an ornamental front of a woman\'s bodice or shirt consisting of colorful material with lace or embroidery, fashionable in the late 19th century. I had to look that one up. It is semi-fitted, has an inset dickey, is belted at the back and has bracelet length sleeves. Old patterns usually have discoloration, foxing, tears, splits, writing, stamps, stickers, pinholes, or \"old book\" smell (I do not mean mildewy. That is something I would specifically mention) to some degree. I do my best to describe my items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability, flaws and all. What I may consider to be a gorgeous and interesting vintage item, may not meet your same criteria. I think the notes written on the patterns by those who used them so long ago add such character and life. To me, these patterns smell like a library and remind me of story-time in elementary school. I do not attempt to clean, restore, or repair vintage items because I would not want to damage them nor interfere with the story they have to tell. I will leave that decision to you.
