From a local Austin Texas collection ... I have a military foot locker listed with a name stenciled on it from same home so I believe this belonged to Sargent Arthur E Smith 

Sold as one lot ... vintage 1950s Boy Scouts order of the arrow costume with

-hand made painted foot locker (used to store the outfit)

-beaded faux eagle feather headdress

-suede beaded and hand painted vest with what looks like \"R\" patches AMAZING

-homemade felt chaps and breech clout - looks hand painted

-wooden prop hand painted yellow brown and red

-male \"Grease Paint\" 1950s era ... a traditionally called \"clown\" paint probably used for the face to mark lines. Some are used and in plastic some are not

- 2 pamphlets for Indian craft supplies dated 1954 & 1955 probably where he bought the stuff to make this. There\'s also inserts dated 1950 for th breech clout and headdress

-squaw dress with pooka shell necklace and longhorn beaded handmade headband

All of this is from the same person probably him and his wife\'s costumes. Although it is all costume, it\'s all handmade from the mid 50s so it\'s pretty cool. The headdress looks like me made it by tying string together. A lot of work!

Shows wear but in overall good condition for its age. The feathers are coming off and flying everywhere. It\'s messy and fragile. I think it\'s the fuzzier red and black feathers attached to the eagle feathers making the mess so I guess you theoretically could take them off but this is such a cool find i am not touching anything and selling as is in found condition
