Excellent condition antique 800 silver and handcarved shell cameo brooch which is also a pendant, found at an estate sale. The ornate frame is lovely, with tarnished silver tiny flower buds nestled in the curled gilded frame. The oval cameo is a lovely young woman in profile, with curls piled on her head. The pendant brooch is marked \"800\" on the bail, and measures 1 1/2 inches tall x 1 1/4 inches across. It weighs10.1 grams, and there is no damage at all. I did not polish the silver - it will be a stunning piece when polished. Unknown exact age and origin, as it was found at an estate sale.
