Vtg-Antique Patterned Celluloid? Panel Hanging Lantern - Folding, Collapsible

Measures about 6 inches tall - plus the handle. When flat, measures about 9 inches in diameter. This has damage that seems expectedwith its fragile construction. Some panels are cracked and one is missing. I believe this is celluloid and possibly a Christmas lantern made in Germanybetween 1880 and 1920, based on general web information. The panels are red, white and a blue-green color.
