Vtg Art Deco Champagne Liquid Satin Southern Belle Chenille Embroidery Boudoir Bedspread 8pc Set

This amazing boudoir bed set from the 1930\'s is simply a piece of art. It is amazingly hand worked, hand embroidered on champagne-colored liquid satin. The embroidery is done in thread as well as in chenille, which is used for beautiful flowers that retain vibrant color after many years. The set is still intact, and comprises one amazing bedspread, two runners of different lengths, an intricately embroidered pillow sham, and four dresser scarves. The overall theme of the piece is floral, and has a fresh spring-like air.The embroidery is of a women in a fancy dress and bonnet with an umbrella also known as the Southern Belle pattern, a popular quilt pattern of that time. The chenille flowers are done in purple, pink, orange and yellow with leaves of green. There is also some art deco style abstract embroidered work framing the piece. The pillow sham and the bedspread are embroidered with a very similar matching pattern (the woman with the umbrella), the whole set is very cohesive. This set is in amazing condition. The colors are very vibrant and the fabric is in good condition. This set is aged, it has some spotting and some UV. The embroidery is in very good condition, there are some lose threads.

Completely hand pressed and ready to use.This set would be perfect for holidays or on guest beds, especially with Easter approaching. It would make a fantastic present, particularly for a housewarming gift or wedding present.
